Becca Weinberger, LPCA, ATR

Associate Licensed Professional Counselor

Becca (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR) from Albertus Magnus College with a Masters of Sociology from Southern Connecticut State University. Becca brings a grounded, creative, and deeply empathetic presence to her work with individuals, parents, families, and groups. Whether she’s working one-on-one or in a multi-generational family session, Becca’s person-centered approach focuses on creating a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.

Her core values, transparency, authenticity, boundaries, creativity, and nonjudgmental support shape every part of her practice. She believes in meeting clients exactly where they are, while gently encouraging growth, reflection, and change. Her clinical work is rooted in a strong foundation of family systems theory, CBT, and DBT, and she specializes in supporting clients navigating eating disorders, mood disorders, identity exploration, and life transitions. She is also deeply committed to LGBTQIA+ affirming care and practices through a Health at Every Size (HAES) and multicultural lens.

As an art therapist, Becca often uses creative expression to help clients explore and process feelings that can be hard to name. She believes in the power of play, messiness, and imperfection whether that’s through paint, metaphor, or just being honest in the room.

Outside the therapy space, you can usually find Becca doodling in the margins of her notebooks, reading articles about trauma and family systems just for the joy of learning, dancing around her living room to whatever song is stuck in her head or enjoying one of her favorite pastimes; playing video games or board games. She knows that healing doesn’t happen in a straight line and feels honored to walk alongside clients as they navigate theirs, at their own pace, with compassion and clarity.
